What does Vandana Labs do?

We are a software development studio. We design and build web applications, mobile apps, full products, data pipelines and integrations, cloud infrastructure, and AI systems. We also do cybersecurity work — audits, penetration testing, and compliance readiness — plus fractional CTO and technical due diligence. Most clients come to us with one project and stay for the next three.

Do you only build AI?

No. AI is one of the things we're strongest at, and we run our own AI product, but the majority of what we build is ordinary production software — customer portals, internal tools, mobile apps, integrations, migrations, and 0-to-1 products. If it's software, it's in scope.

What size projects do you take on?

Everything from a focused 1–4 week sprint — a proof of concept, a critical integration, an audit — to multi-feature programs and full 0-to-1 product builds. Typical engagements run from $15k to $500k+, and you can estimate yours on our site before you talk to us.

How fast can you deliver?

You see working software in the first week, and every week after that. That is a statement about visibility, not about project length — a focused build might finish in three weeks, while a platform or an enterprise integration programme runs six to nine months. What does not change is that you can open something and use it from week one rather than waiting months to find out whether it works.

Do you take on long, complex programmes?

Yes — multi-month integration programmes are some of the best work we do. A large ERP, CRM, or legacy integration typically runs six to nine months, delivered in phases so that value lands early rather than everything arriving at the end. We run these alongside your team, not in a black box, with a fixed price per phase so the budget is never a surprise.

Can you work alongside our existing engineering team?

Often that is the arrangement. On larger programmes we usually own one or two workstreams, integrate with your sprint cadence and code review, and hand each phase over as it completes. We are not trying to replace your team or become permanent — the goal is that you can carry it on without us.

What industries do you work in?

Accepted Answer

Any sector — including fintech, healthcare, legal, logistics, e-commerce, manufacturing, education, energy, recruitment, and government. The engineering standard does not change with the domain. If you are in a regulated sector, raise the regime you are under in your first message: healthcare work needs a signed BAA before we touch protected health information, and some certification requirements rule us out entirely. We would rather establish that on day one than during procurement.

Who owns the code?

You do, completely. Every repository, every credential, and every piece of infrastructure is yours from day one. There is no lock-in, no proprietary platform you have to keep paying for, and no hostage situation if you want to take it in-house.

Do you actually build, or just advise?

Accepted Answer

We build. Advisory work is available as a separate engagement, but the core of what we do is shipping production software. You get working code in the first week, not a strategy document.
